A Palestinian NGO urges the international community to take swift action to stop the alarming rate of “enforced disappearance” of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said despite the global outcry, Tel Aviv refrains from disclosing any information about the fate of the kidnapped Palestinians. The organization also expressed concern about reports of executions and torture by Israeli soldiers. The NGO urged the international community to take swift action to stop such crimes. Last week, Geneva-based human rights group Euro-Med published a bombshell report. It said Israel brings groups of settlers to prisons to witness the torture of the abductees from Gaza. The Geneva-based group says the regime even allows the settlers to film the abductees as they are stripped naked and beaten with metal batons and electric sticks. The group had condemned such acts of brutality as a war crime and crime against humanity, warning that it will fuel hatred and extremism.
