Spotlight - Israeli president regional tour

PressTV 17 views

Bahrain has made history, but for the wrong reasons: Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met President Isaac Herzog in the first visit by an Israeli president to the Persian Gulf Island. From there, he went to the UAE. The Abraham Accords has made these visits possible, U.S.-brokered agreements that ushered in so-called normalization between Israel and several Persian Gulf Arab states including the UAE and Bahrain. As much as Israel would like to show that its relations with Persian Gulf Arab countries is flourishing, the citizens of those countries and the wider Arab world are vehemently against it, and have vowed to never recognize Israel.
