Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has repeated allegations that New Delhi was involved in the killing of a Sikh leader and called on New Delhi to cooperate in an investigation.
Trudeau declined to say what evidence Ottawa has. Relations between India and Canada have soured in the wake of the killing of Canadian Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June. Nijjar was an advocate for an independent Sikh state to be carved out of parts of India and Pakistan. The Indian government of Prime Minister Modi has rejected all allegations outright. Ottawa and New Delhi have already expelled senior diplomats in a tit-for-tat move.
