Iran and the United States have started a fifth round of negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear program in the Italian capital of Rome, with uranium enrichment emerging as the key issue.
Just like the previous rounds, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US President Donald Trump's regional envoy Steve Witkoff are leading the negotiating delegations in the talks which began on Friday.
The talks are mediated by Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei, and a number of other diplomats and experts were among the members of the delegation accompanying Araghchi.
