Hiroshima to Gaza: A civilian catastrophe

PressTV 4 views

As we once again encroach upon the atomic bombing anniversary of Hiroshoma Japan, after 80 years, we are still puzzled by so many questions. Was it justified slaughtering over 150thousand civilians? Did we learn anything? Was there any accountability for the victims? Have we put into place proper checks and balances so that the Hiroshima and Nagasaki massacres will not be repeated? Today the annialiation of the Gaza Strip perhaps answers many of those questions. And not in positive light. US weapons, non-nuclear but designed for mass destruction, raining down on Palestinian women and children by the Isreali occupier, multiple times the explosive power of Hiroshama. No accountability, no acceptable pretext or justification, and no remorse whatsoever.
