Iran says it supports any initiative that would guarantee an end to the ongoing ethnic cleansing and war crimes in Gaza and realize the Palestinian nation’s right to self-determination. The Iranian Foreign Ministry was reacting to the latest Gaza ceasefire plan proposed by the US president.
The ministry said the Palestinian people and resistance are the sole parties that can make a decision on Donald Trump's Gaza peace plan. It added that Iran supports any decision by Palestinians that would guarantee an end to the Gaza genocide, withdrawal of Israeli forces, entry of humanitarian aid, and reconstruction of the war-torn territory. The ministry, however, warned about the dangerous aspects of Trump's plan, given Israel’s violation of previous agreements in line with its expansionist and racist policies. It stressed that even after the genocide stops, all governments and international bodies would be responsible for prosecuting all those behind the regime’s genocide in order to end Israel’s decades-long impunity. The ministry also voiced Iran's readiness to send humanitarian aid to Gaza.
