Russian President Vladimir Putin received Syria's interim leader in the Kremlin. This is the first visit of Ahmed al-Sharaa, also known as Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, the former al-Qaeda-linked commander of HTS, to Moscow since declared himself president of the Arab country. Al-Sharaa has called for a reset in relations with Russia.
