The Iranian foreign minister has slammed Washington’s double standards when dealing with violent protests in the United States and other countries. Abbas Araghchi was referring to President Donald Trump's support for violent rioters in Iran while allowing harsh treatment of peaceful protesters on the US soil.
Araghchi said there is decisive evidence linking deadly and violent riots in Iran to terrorists associated with Israel’s Mossad. He was referring to a social media post by former US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, in which he admitted that Mossad agents are walking the streets of Iran alongside rioters. Araghchi said Iranian police officers are being executed by actual terrorists, overseen by what Pompeo has openly called Mossad agents. He questioned whether the US government would tolerate such brutality within its own borders. Araghchi also pointed out that the Trump administration fully endorses police brutality in the US, labeling it 'self-defense,' while calling on other countries to remain silent in the face of violent rioters. He cited the recent killing of a young woman by a US immigration agent in the city of Minneapolis, where Trump supported the agent, labeling the victim a 'domestic terrorist’.
