Ireland condemns Israel's 'de facto annexation' of Palestinian lands

Ireland’s parliament has voted to condemn Israel’s “de facto annexation” of Palestinian land but stopped short of requiring the government of expelling the Israeli ambassador through adopting an amendment from small left-wing party People Before Profit and slap sanctions on Tel Aviv. The move came in response to recent Israeli atrocities against Palestinians in Gaza. The country’s foreign minister called the vote a “clear signal of the depth of feeling across Ireland.
