Nigeria’s high court has acquitted sixty members of the Islamic Movement of culpable homicide over the killing of a senior police officer several years ago.

The sixty members of the Islamic Movement have been in detention for close to six years following their arrest during a peaceful protest for the release of the movement’s leader, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, in the capital Abuja.
