The suffering of Palestinian patients diagnosed with Glaucoma has been exacerbated as a result of the Israeli regime’s genocidal policy. The patients were not allowed to leave Gaza as the Rafah crossing was closed.
The Gaza health ministry announced that more than 4,000 Palestinian patients diagnosed with Glaucoma disease are in immense need to travel abroad to get medical treatment; otherwise, they are at risk of losing their sight.
Glaucoma is an eye condition that damages the optic nerve. This damage can lead to vision loss or blindness. Damage to the optic nerve is often related to high pressure in the eye.
The glaucoma patients joined the list of more than 18,000 patients trapped in Gaza with no permits to leave and they still face life-threatening consequences.
